Does Grandpa Dream of Cowboys? follows the harrowing journey of a rainbow trout in the Eastern Sierra, inspired by the film The Manzanar Fishing Club.

The story is a western based on the Owens Valley in the Eastern Sierra of California. Here, numerous histories inhabit the same place in contradiction; fantasy and reality, escapism and imprisonment, beauty and destruction.
